Well NARUTO needs no introduction. Its an all time fav of all Manga, Anime lovers.
The Manga series has been written and illustrated by the Pioneer Manga artist Masahi Kishimoto. When Masashi Kishimoto for the first chapter of Naruto printed back in 1999, little did he know that his work that he initially described as “the art stinks and the story’s a mess” would become one of the most popular contemporary manga of the time.

Still being printed, the series has sold over 100million copies worldwide, and since 2002 it has been adapted into an anime series.

The plot revolves around Naruto Uzumaki, an adoloscent Ninja who aspires to become a Hokage i.e. the strongest leader. A troublemaker rejected by the society due to having a demon – a 9 tailed fox sealed within him, and his determination to becoming the greatest ninja of the country, the hokage, and for the first time in his life, making friends and getting appreciation. The story telling style of kishimoto is very character driven, although the plot is equally elaborate and well designed to keep readers/viewers hooked.

Almost every significant character goes through a catharsis throughout the whole series, with respect to mental and physical characteristics. With brilliantly illustrated fighting scenes and backgrounds, Naruto has been widely appreciated for being one of the most well made ‘all round’ manga of the time.
Kishimoto has made Naruto into a manga that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, due to the ranging levels of emotions and meaning in the story. From deaths of really important characters and revelations of their pasts, to hilarious fight sequences and serious interactions between the characters, Kishimoto has executed every bit of the manga with perfection. Overall, a must for those who are looking for a truly ‘complete’ shonen experience.

Naruto has been a huge success world over. The Manga is still running.
Naruto was first published by Shueisha in 1999  in the 43rd issue of Japan’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Viz Media has the license for the Anime and Manga for North American production.

Naruto was later adapted into Anime series produced by the Studio Pierrot. And the sequel to the Anime series- Naruto: Shippuden has been airing since 2007.

In additon to the Anime series there are 6 movies and several OVAs (Original Video Animations) of the Manga by the Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. And many other merchandise such as light Novels, Video Games, Trading cards etc.. have also been developed by several companies.

How many Mangas do you own?

I used to have a large amount of Manga collection when I was in China (I can´t remember how many exactly, including “Hunter x Hunter“, Prince of Tennis, Naruto, Gakuen Alice,… But I left them, when I moved to Czech Republic…

How many costumes do you own?

I have five costumes and they are all from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (Belphegor, TYL Belphegor, Fran, Uni, TYL Lambo) I did most of the easier parts by myself, but there´s anything too difficult I would take it to a tailor rather then damaging my dear costumes…

Which Manga, Anime are very popular right now? Any ideas why…?

It is pretty difficult to consider, in those countries where Anime, Manga things are well known, Animes such as Kuroshitsuji, D Greyman, Soul Eater and Vampire Knight, would be quite popular recently. But in the countries where the Anime and Mangas are yet not as popular as in the countries such as Germany or France, for example the Czech Republic, where I shifted from China to study. The majority of fans are fans of Naruto and Bleach which has been playing on the Czech TV channels for quite a while. China TV: Pokemon, Didimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Doraemon and Astro Boy have been there for over then 10 years or even longer. The TV-channel keeps repeating and repeating them again.
